The Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke will celebrate its Annual Buddy Walk and 3.21 Trail Run on May 5, 2018 at the Explorer Park in Roanoke, Virginia. We expect hundreds of entrants, family members, volunteers and media coverage on race day. Your participation will help this event thrive and grow and we thank you in advance for whatever support you are willing to provide. 
The Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke (“DSAR”) is a non-profit organization providing advocacy, educational and support services for families and friends of individuals with Down syndrome, as well as professionals who work with individuals with disabilities.  

We appreciate your willingness to be a vendor at this year’s Annual 5k run/1-mile Buddy Walk. Were excited to have participating vendors showcase their services. Vendors are needed for May 5th and possible rain date of May 12th.

  • Saturday, May 5th hours 7:30am-12pm
  • Possible Rain date May 12th hours 7:30am-12pm
  • Vendors will need to arrive at 7:30am at Journeys End at Explore Park.
  • 5k race starts at 8:30am with the Buddy Walk following immediately after race
  • Large green space for set up
  • Vendors will need to supply all equipment including tables, chairs, canopy tent and etc. but not limited to.
  • No electricity available
  • Vendors will be responsible to transport their own equipment from parking lot to green space via gravel pathway. No vehicles allowed on pathway.
  • Vendor meeting held at the Explore Park a week before the event to discuss and handout event day responsibilities.

To ensure a sport on the green space, vendors will need to commit by responding to the Buddy Walk Committee via email by April 15th. If you would like to include any information/pamphlets in our Buddy Walk participate bags, info must be received by April 22nd. We anticipate 300-400 participates.
